The Communion of Reformed Evangelical Churches
Christ Church Leavenworth is a member congregation of the CREC, a communion of Reformed and evangelical churches bound together by shared confessions and mutual accountability.
What membership means
Four things the CREC gives a congregation
Connected
Congregations are grouped into presbyteries, and elders answer to elders. We belong to the Tyndale Presbytery. Real accountability means a church cannot drift quietly.
Local
Each congregation is governed by its own session of elders. The communion binds churches together in confession and accountability, and leaves the shepherding where Scripture puts it: at home.
